Events around the Grafenwirt
The Hotel Grafenwirt in Wagrain is proud of the lively culture and tradition in Wagrain and in the Austrian province of Salzburg. You can experience this tradition not only in the hotel but also at the various summer events.
All four seasons offer a variety of sporting and cultural events to delight the local population as well as the guests from many different countries. Among them are the annual fixed dates for a huge variety of celebrations and festivals, as well as new events, all of which are cause for excitement in Wagrain.
We would like to offer you a small insight into Wagrain’s culture and tradition. In addition, you will receive a monthly overview of all current festivals and events in Wagrain!
NIVEA Family festival
On 15.07. and 16.07.2017 Austria’s biggest summer holiday tour is on its way again to ensure smiling faces and happy children. The jubilee summer will be celebrated at the sports ground by the Flying Mozart in Wagrain. Alongside an extensive sport programme, you will also be able to see famous stars on the NIVEA show stage – a festival for the whole family!
The show programme is free of charge. Among others, the popular duo Lukas & Falco will present their unique Dog-Dance-Show. Other stage entertainers include the “Magic Show with Flo”, the young talent of the Sportunion West-Vienna, as well as Kasperl & Co and Rolf Rüdiger.
The appx. 1.000 m² area of the NIVEA family festival offers various places where you can try out different team and individual sports. In the popular game tents both parents and children can get creative.
The proceeds from the sale of tombola tickets go towards SOS Children.
Autumn festival
The Autumn Festival (08.09. – 16.09.2016) is at harvest time and is celebrated in Salzburg with various events. Traditions, customs and old handicrafts are brought alive again. Walk from mountain hut to mountain hut and experience one of the joyful celebrations to bring the cows down from the mountain.
